What is VegD3®?
VegD3® is certified Organic, 100% plant-origin Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), and is available in the following formats and strengths:
VegD3® 1miu/g Oil Organic
VegD3® 100,000iu/g Powder Organic
It is suitable for use across a wide range of Food, Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical and Animal Nutrition applications. Whereas in the past D2 (Ergocalciferol, a Vitamin D analog) has been used in vegetarian and vegan Vitamin D products, the suitability and bioavailability of D2 continues to be questioned. VegD3® now offers the perfect universally-acceptable Vitamin D ingredient source, in the form the body naturally produces: D3 (cholecalciferol).
The origin of VegD3®
VegD3® is Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) produced using 100% non-GMO algal source. VegD3® is certified organic through USDA. The source is algae commonly used in foods globally. NMR and other testing has shown it is chemically identical to Cholcalciferol obtained from animal sources, including lanolin.
Universal suitability
Unlike animal-origin Vitamin D3, VegD3® is universally acceptable, making it suitable for Vegan, Vegetarians and Indian Green Dot food products. VegD3® offers a 100% sustainable and traceable end-to-end supply chain process with complete control on quality and purity. Unlike Sheep’s Wool, our process uses no pesticides (or sheep dip!) and therefore the chance of residual pesticides is zero.
